Mollie has had a bit of a rough week with two new top teeth coming down. But, by Friday night, she was feeling much better. We went to Cactus Cantina for dinner - turns out that it is Mollie's favorite restaurant. Or maybe, she just loves avocados this much? Either way - it's pretty cute. Turn on your sound for the full effect.

Dear Pedialyte, your freezer pops taste so bad, it's funny
Mollie has some more top teeth coming in and I foolishly thought these Pedialyte freezer pops would make her feel better. Turns out they taste like disgusting nastiness. But at least she has a sense of humor about it.

Week 47 - First Rock Concert
Mollie's been continuing to walk all around. We can't believe she's about to be 11 months old!
Over the three-day weekend we had a lot of visits with friends. We were all amazed at how our Saturday nights have changed - I think everyone was out the door by 8pm :) Below, from left to right Daniel, Abby Cadabby, Yael, Emma and Mollie.
Sunday morning we took Mollie to her first concert - Rocknocerous. It was awesome. The songs are clever and cute, and the crowd was a good size. Most of the kids were just running and jumping, a few were actually paying attention to the music. We had a great time. The concert also just happened to be at the synagogue where we got married.
Here's Mollie rocking out to her favorite song "Pink."

10 month appointment
In the last post I forgot to include Mollie's stats from her 10 month appointment, so here they are - 21 lbs (75 percentile) and 30 inches (95 percentile). She had to get a flu shot and some blood taken from her finger, but she was very brave about it and barely cried. We profusely thanked the nurse who did the blood draw for being so nice to our girl (and remembered Mollie's hellacious first blood draw experience as a three-day-old baby, which was complete torture for everyone involved, except the nurse who seemed to take some sort of sadistic pleasure in it). For being such a big, brave girl, Mollie got this little treat. It's a tongue depressor with two care bear stickers on it. It is among her favorite toys...ever.

Week 45 - Happy New Year
We had a very low key New Year this year. Fortunately, both Louie and I had the day off of work. So, we went for a long walk through Georgetown and took Mollie to the park. She loved the swing, she was laughing hysterically for about 5 minutes.
She also liked the slide, but slightly less.
Then for NYE we had Sam and Margaret over for dinner. We ordered take out and watched tv. It was perfectly lovely and just what we all wanted.
Sam noticed that he and Mollie had matching socks on. He wanted to document it, which wasn't as easy as you would think. Mollie was getting ready for bed and being very squirmy. And Sam's legs are slightly longer than hers so it was hard to line up their feet.
There's the money shot!
Sam was taking the GRE in the morning (thus his attendance at our low-key evening) and he was hoping Abby Cadabby could give him a little good luck. These two have a very special relationship (Sam and Abby that is). It seems to have worked, he rocked the test!
