Pool day

This weekend we took Mollie to the pool in Bethesda. We had a great time. Mollie was in the pool until she got all pruned up. Pretty cute. Louie took a horrid photo of Margie and me which I refuse to post. But here's a cute one of Louie and Mollie in their Giants hats.

Week 27

This week Mollie had her 6 month pediatrician appointment. She weighs 18 lbs and is 27.5 inches. She's above the 90th percentile for both weight and height. She's doing great! Here are some photos, old and new. I finally got a charger for my camera, so expect some new photos next week!

Week 26 - Happy 6 months Mollie!

Here's Mollie at her 6 month birthday party. We don't have many pictures this week because I've lost the charger for my camera. But, we got Mollie some cupcakes to celebrate her birthday. She rubbed the frosting all over herself shortly after we took this picture. We cannot believe 6 months has already gone by and that she's crawling and sitting and generally entertaining us all day long.
A little snuggle time with the birthday baby.

We tried to get her to sit in the laundry basket but she just toppled it over and crawled out.
Hi smiley girl!

Some oldies but goodies

A few more photos from fourth of July.

Week 25 - She CRAWLS! And playing with Margie and Andrew and Quinn

This week Mollie had a bunch of milestones. She sat up on her own AND started to crawl. We are working on getting video of her crawl - it's not pretty, but it gets her from point A to point B.

This weekend, Mollie had a date with Quinn. Here they are holding hands! We had a great time catching up with Jordan and Kevin. And we can't believe how much the babes have grown!
Here's Auntie Margie feeding Mollie some squash. Looks like a success!
And, Saturday, we went to Buy Buy Baby. In addition to getting a ton of stuff for Mollie, including baby gates, Mollie laughed hysterically for nearly the entire visit. Good work Auntie Margie! (see video below to get the full effect).

Week 24 - Welcome Margie and Andrew and Mollie's Cape Cod Weekend!

Auntie Margie and Andrew just wrapped up their cross-country road trip and are now staying with us for a while. They brought Mollie lots of cool gifts, including this amazing hat.

This weekend we all went to Cape Cod to celebrate our family friend Joel's 60th birthday. It was a weekend of a lot of firsts for Miss Mollie - first clam bake, first beach trip, first boat ride. She had an amazing time.
Mollie got to meet Joel's daughters and our friends, Ali and Cara, she loved them!

Saturday morning, while others were setting up for the party, we headed over to Ali's beach.
Mollie LOVED it.
"Hey you guys, have you seen this sand stuff before? It's amazing!?"

"But it doesn't taste that good"
"And I don't even care because I love the beach!"
Next we figured we would see if she loved the water as much as she loved the sand, and the answer was a resounding yes. We think she must take after her Aunt Elana who was also an extreme water baby.
After the beach we got changed and had some down time inside. Nana and Ali played piano.
Mollie hung out with the gang.
And then that evening was the main event - Joel's party! Here's the birthday boy.
Mollie spent most of her first clam bake in our Ergo baby carrier fast asleep. Yep, that's a Giants sweatshirt she's wearing.
Louie made me include this picture of the clams because he loved them so much.
Margie and Andrew also loved the clam bake.
Dad and Uncle Jimmy chatting. Jimmy is wearing Andrew's hat in case you were wondering.
The next morning we had breakfast on the porch...
And said our goodbyes to uncle Jimmy. He promises he is coming to D.C. soon...right Uncle Jimmy?
He made a lobster bib for Mollie just in case she had a mid-morning snack.
Then, those of us were left got suited up for the boat. Mollie was ok with the life jacket at first, and then decided she hated it and then...
Fell fast asleep on the boat.
Everyone loved cruising around, the weather was perfect, it was the perfect ending to our weekend.
I'm not sure why Louie looks so serious here, but he was having a great time, I promise. Mollie loved the boat. She's a true water baby, she didn't even mind when the water splashed on her face and woke her up. And she loved riding around and looking at the other boats passing by. It was a great weekend - we can't wait to go back!
