Medvene-Collins Holiday Dinner

Last night we had dinner at Guapos (a family fave) with the Medvene-Collins fam. Mollie got some really cool new books.

The rest of us had delicious guacamole and margaritas :)

Here's our little ham pretending to sleep so she didn't have to have her photo taken.

Also note her brand new Bulldog sweater in honor of Mac, who had to miss the holiday parties because he scares small children (well, he scares Mollie).
Also, don't mind my outfit. It is a McDermott holiday tradition that you must immediately put on all holiday gifts, even if said gift is a suit jacket. The suit jacket with black leggings is a look I plan to bring to Capitol Hill in 2012.

Pretty Mollie

Trying out Sissy's holiday gifts

Sweet Setup

My mom recently found my old rocker and gave it to Mollie. She's got quite the sweet set up at Nana and Pop-Pop's house...

Uncle Jimmy visits - with Elmo

Between my foot surgery and the holidays I've fallen really far behind on posting. But - here are some pictures from Uncle Jimmy's visit a few weeks ago. He brought Mollie a Tickle-me-Elmo. She LOVES it. Here are some photos from the visit:

Getting in the Holiday Spirit

This weekend, Mollie, Uncle Barty and I went to Georgetown Cupcakes holiday decorating event. Mollie had a good time, mostly eating icing, and a little bit doing the decorating. Here she is with her big pink GC box. When we were all done she insisted on carrying the bag.

After cupcakes we went down to the Georgetown waterfront to look at ducks.
Then Mollie did some running around in the newly built waterfront area.
And this week, Mollie and Kirsten decorated this gingerbread man. Pretty fun!

Auntie Dee Dee and Uncle Jean-Bernard Get Hitched

These pictures are LOOONG overdue from Auntie Dee Dee's wedding this summer. Here's Mollie in her role as flower girl, with cousin Aliza. Mollie did a great job of making it all the way down the aisle. And don't they look so precious in their matching pink dresses hand crafted by Grandma Liz?!The Fam!

Proud MOB and FOB dancing the day away.

So sweet!

Grandma Liz and her friend Chloe did an amazing job planning every detail of the wedding, including having lots of toys for little people. Mollie found a baby and a stroller - she had the best time!

The men goofing around.

Happy little girl!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! Auntie Margie came over and helped Mollie carve her pumpkin and then cook the seeds. We had a great time and Mollie was pretty pleased with the end result.

Auntie Sissy and her friend, Michelle, came to DC Halloween weekend for the Marine Corps Marathon (Michelle ran in it and did an amazing job!) Here they are the night before the marathon breaking a wishbone. Mollie was the winner, we know she had an amazing wish.
The next morning we went to Yael's first birthday party.
They had Georgetown Cupcakes - they are the best cupcakes, ask anyone - especially Mollie or Daniel.
Then Mollie spent some time chasing the squirrels.
Then we made a quick stop by our neighborhood Halloween gathering. Mollie especially liked hanging out in the fire truck.
And hanging with Auntie Sissy, who made sure she had candy in her cup.

Mollie fish!
That night we had dinner at Nana and Pop-Pops. They got Mollie these cool lights to use for trick or treating.
Or sword fighting.
We also had LOTS of candy corn! On actual Halloween I had to go to Los Angeles so Mollie spent the night at Nana and Pop-pops. So more trick or treating pics to come when I get their photos.

Pumpkin Patch and Boo at the Zoo!

Fall is here! And Mollie's getting in the mode in her Orange and Black. Thanks, Great Uncle Sam!This weekend we went to the pumpkin patch with Yael and her parents and Auntie Margie and Andrew. Here are the girls playing in the corn kernel box - kind of like a sandbox full of corn.

Mollie riding the train.
Girls with their dads.
Mollie meeting the pig at the petting zoo. She really liked the animals from a distance but as soon as they get close to her, she doesn't like it.
Mollie and Thai-chi getting measured.
Yael's turn.
"Nice to meet you pumpkin head"

Finally, we got down to business picking out a pumpkin. Mollie inspected lots of pumpkins before making her final selection.
We ended up getting this little one and a bigger one for carving. More pictures of that to come.
This weekend was also Boo at the Zoo at the National Zoo. We met up with a bunch of friends and ran through the zoo collecting candy from the various booths. We even saw a few animals along the way. And no - Louie still won't let me cut that tail. And I'm not talking about the zebra.
Mollie with her treat bag checking out the zebra.
Mollie and Louie at the elephant exhibit.
Mollie and Emma showing off their costumes.
Mollie and Thai-chi in their matching Liz Lauter Tutus! And Mollie having a healthy snack.
We ran into Eeyore, I mean, Quinn. The kids were really happy to see each other, it was so cute!
Then we discovered the giant pizza at the far end of the zoo. I've known about this for quite some time but had never actually seen it with my own eyes. It's very cool, a giant, squishy, climbable pizza. There's even a vat of sauce that you can stir. Here's little tutu-tushie in the giant olive.

And riding a tomato...
And don't worry - we gave her chocolate in addition to that apple shown above. And here's the proof:
