Pumpkin Patch and Boo at the Zoo!

Fall is here! And Mollie's getting in the mode in her Orange and Black. Thanks, Great Uncle Sam!This weekend we went to the pumpkin patch with Yael and her parents and Auntie Margie and Andrew. Here are the girls playing in the corn kernel box - kind of like a sandbox full of corn.

Girls with their dads.
Mollie meeting the pig at the petting zoo. She really liked the animals from a distance but as soon as they get close to her, she doesn't like it.
Mollie and Thai-chi getting measured.
Yael's turn.
"Nice to meet you pumpkin head"

Finally, we got down to business picking out a pumpkin. Mollie inspected lots of pumpkins before making her final selection.
We ended up getting this little one and a bigger one for carving. More pictures of that to come.
This weekend was also Boo at the Zoo at the National Zoo. We met up with a bunch of friends and ran through the zoo collecting candy from the various booths. We even saw a few animals along the way. And no - Louie still won't let me cut that tail. And I'm not talking about the zebra.
Mollie with her treat bag checking out the zebra.
Mollie and Louie at the elephant exhibit.
Mollie and Emma showing off their costumes.
Mollie and Thai-chi in their matching Liz Lauter Tutus! And Mollie having a healthy snack.
We ran into Eeyore, I mean, Quinn. The kids were really happy to see each other, it was so cute!
Then we discovered the giant pizza at the far end of the zoo. I've known about this for quite some time but had never actually seen it with my own eyes. It's very cool, a giant, squishy, climbable pizza. There's even a vat of sauce that you can stir. Here's little tutu-tushie in the giant olive.

And riding a tomato...
And don't worry - we gave her chocolate in addition to that apple shown above. And here's the proof:

Busy Mollie

We had a really busy and fun fall weekend this weekend. First, we had dinner to celebrate sukot with our friends Deb and Ethan and Mara and Reuben and Maggie and Rob, and all the kids. Aren't the kids cute eating dinner at the kiddie table? After dinner, Mollie inspected Emma's teeth.
Rina playing hide and seek with her big bag of cookies!

After dinner, Liam did a lovely Rocknocerous concert for all of us. Mollie had the best time dancing with Maggie.
Liam's astronaut performance.

Dress up...
and dessert :)
Later we went outside to see the sukah. It was a really fun night!
Saturday afternoon we went to Nana and Pop-pop's and played bubbles.
Later that day we went to Maggie's birthday party. We can't believe she's already two. I didn't get enough pictures, I'm hoping her parents have some more I can steal. Here's Silas and Mollie in the moon bounce!
Sunday, we went to a BBQ for Louie's work.
Then, we went to Adam's firetruck birthday party. Mollie got to go in a fire truck, do arts and crafts and eat cake. Needless to say, she had a pretty wonderful time!
She also got a little fire truck to take home.
Adam had a really cool fire truck cake.
From Adam's, we went to our neighbor Asha's birthday party. Mollie chased her around saying "Asha, Asha" while Asha ran away. Pretty cute.
Then we met Margie, Andrew, and Andy for dinner and Pitango dessert. What a great weekend!

Happy New Year

Happy new year! This year, with Louie in California, we went to tot service at synagogue with Nana and Pop-Pop in Bethesda. We had a great time making crafts and singing songs, there was a play and even a very short torah reading. Probably the most fun service I've ever been to.

Mollie probably should have gone with some more artsy members of her family, but she was stuck with us :)
