Rosalyn is 1 month and meets Auntie Margie

Rosalyn is one month old!  Goodness how time flies.  Rosalyn had her one month appointment.  She is about 23 inches long (not so cooperative with being measured) and weighs 11 pounds 12 ounces.  She is doing really well, likes being bounced, going for walks, and her bouncy seat.  She's smiling much more this week, it is very sweet.  Big sis is doing well.

What a difference a month makes!

Passover 2014

Louie's parents were in town for Passover this year.  We had a nice little family seder at our house.  Liz cooked, we are so grateful for both the seder AND the leftovers.  It was really nice to have the four grandparents together for Rosalyn's first Passover!
We didn't have enough yarmulkes so Grandpa David had to improvise...
Seder plate and a little pre-dinner hummus snack.
The plagues, preschool style (thanks, Nana!)  We lost them all before we could even get the picture.  The plague of the first born was REALLY creepy.
 Welcome to Mollie's hair salon!

Grandparent visit and Rosalyn 3 weeks

Happy baby!

 Rosalyn's first bath - not a fan.
Meeting Aunt Ann and Uncle Jim.
Grandma Liz and Grandpa David visited this week.  Everyone really enjoyed their visit!

In case you were starting to think Rosalyn's always smiling and sleeping...
Mollie and Grandma Liz enjoying some special time together
Taking some time to stop and smell the flowers (all flowers)
Mollie's Easter bunny arrived a little early.  When we were kids, Poppy JJ always ate the ears off our bunnies.  So we took this photo for him.

Mollie and Grandma demonstrating how princesses walk
Coloring in the park (and grandpa playing soccer in the background)
Rosalyn and daddy enjoying the nice weather
 Naptime!
Mollie and Grandma Liz running near the Georgetown waterfront.  They worked on how many different ways they could use a swaddling blanket to make different things - a cape, a toga, a house, a skirt, and so on.

Getting to know one another.  Plus a little Grandma magic to get Rosalyn to sleep.
Mollie's cherry blossom viewing outfit.  Glasses courtesy of Grandma Liz, dress all the way from South Africa (thanks, Pop-pop).
We had a great time checking out the cherry blossoms. But by the end, Mollie was exhausted.  She decided that Rosalyn's infant stroller could probably still fit her.  You can't really see it here, but she had a bag of Pirate's Booty chips in there too.  Quite the life of the little queen which you would never know from her sour expression!

Rosalyn, 2 weeks

Rosalyn had her two week check up today.  She is 23 inches long and weighs 10 lbs.  She's growing well, 98th percentile for height, 90th percentile for weight.  Some pictures from her second week.
Rosalyn has been a great sleeper this week.  She's sleeping at night for 5-6 hour stretches at night, which is very exciting for Mommy and Daddy.  We're not sure how long it will last, of course, but we're enjoying it while it does!
 Big sis striking a pose.

 Meeting her godfather, Sammy.
Rosalyn enjoys walks in the Bjorn and the stroller.  We've started getting out of the house a little bit for short outings.
Mollie goofing.  She's such a loving and sweet big sister, always wanting to give Rosalyn hugs and kisses.
This weekend we got out and about a little bit.  Went to the Freer gallery and saw some paintings.  Mollie was really interested in learning about Buddha in particular.  We went for a walk in the gardens outside of the museum and enjoyed some long overdue spring weather.
 Waiting for her 2-week physical.
Big sis, Mollie got a scooter from Nana and Pop-pop for her big sis present.  She's very excited.
 Grandparent snuggles.
 That's one happy grandpa.

Rosalyn's 1 Week Old

Rosalyn had her one week check up yesterday.  She got a clean bill of health, a relief after all that time at the hospital.  She weighs 8 lbs, 14 ounces and is 22 inches long.  Today, we took her on her first stroll in the baby Bjorn - we went to vote and then out to lunch.  She slept the whole way.
