March Madness of another kind

Some more March updates:
Mollie and Rozzie in their matching new sweaters from Sarah Lauter Designs (shameless plug time: check it out if you haven't already sarahlauter.com and also don't forget to like her on Facebook).

 Rozzie loves spaghettios.
My cousins Emily and Joe are expecting twins!  She's due in early May, so i suspect they are probably coming sort of soon.  But here are some pictures from our trip to visit for their baby shower.  Rozzie was a dream on the train, sharing snacks with Auntie Sissy.
 Squishy baby with Nana
Sitting in her seat like a big girl.
I got a chance to visit Mollie's karate class.  Coach V doesn't allow photos, so I had to sneak some pictures of the kids doing their pushups.  The karate class is very special - the coach is amazing with the kids, very big on discipline and rules.  We love Coach V!

Dress up day - Rozzie the Queen/Cheer Girl
And princess Mollie
Observation day at ballet petite.  In big news, Mollie starts the developmental skills class this spring.

 Rozzie the garden gnome.
String cheese is Rozzie's favorite food.
The girls picking out big tvs at Best Buy.  We actually had the best time in the store with the two of them just chasing one another around these huge arm chairs and laughing hysterically.

Mollie played hookie from school and went to see the Cinderella ballet with her Nana at the Kennedy Center.  They had a great time!

Rozzie turns 1!

We can't believe our little Rozzie is one.  It seems like both forever ago and just yesterday that she came into the world - such a scary time with her in the special care nursery, waiting for her to come home, and hoping she was going to be ok.  She's turned into such a happy, sweet little blessing in our lives.
For her birthday, we went to the circus.  Mollie enjoyed it more than Roz, but we all had a great time.  We were in a suite, so plenty of space for crawling.
After the show, we had dinner at Rosa Mexicana with gandparents and Uncle Barty.  IT was a really great time!

Birthday gifts from Grama LIz

Grama Liz made Mollie a super cool book for her birthday.  I'm constantly in fear that something will happen to these precious treasures, so I photographed the whole thing and put it on display here.  Amazing, isn't it?  And of course, I had to include Rozzie's painting, too.

Mollie is Five!

Hard to believe it, but our baby is 5!  Here are some pictures from end of January through her birthday.

Auntie Margie and Uncle Andrew came for a visit at the end of January.  We had a great time hanging out with them.  Margie and Mollie baked and cooked.  Here they are in their matching Liz Lauter aprons.

We also took Auntie Margie wedding dress shopping.  We had a great time and found lots of pretty options, of course I can't show you any of them.  So here's Mollie playing behind the curtain in the dressing room. While we shopped, Uncle Andrew babysat Rozzie, walking her all through Georgetown.  It was a huge success (even if he was a little nervous about poopy diapers).

We also took Rozzie and Margie to our favorite ramen place in Chinatown.  Rozzie LOVED slurping up noodles.
Margie and Andrew got Mollie these super sweet pink, sparkly Ugg boots for her early birthday present.  Mollie LOVES them and has basically worn them every day since.

The next weekend I took Mollie for a long overdue hair cut.  She wasn't so thrilled initially...
 But LOVED the end result!
 Sister Costco trip!

Mollie has been counting down to her birthday since Christmas and was so excited for the day to finally be here.  We had a full week of celebration, with grandparents in town from California and parties at school and with her friends.  First up, her school friends made her a birthday banner.  It was very sweet.  Her pre-k teacher stayed late the night before to make sure the banner would be ready before Mollie got to school on Thursday.

Friday, we celebrated with cupcakes at her school.  Gramma Liz and Mollie baked cupcakes with a secret ingredient (cinnamon)!  Mollie was quite excited to share this special treat with her class.

Saturday morning, we got ready for the big party at All Fired Up.  Rozzie and Grandpa David getting ready to celebrate.
 Drawing before the painting begins.

More friends!  (Adelei, Isabella, Emma, left to right)
 Owen and Rina

The kids learning about the firing ovens.

 Rozzie enjoying some birthday cake.
Birthday dinner at Cactus Cantina.  New hat for Roz.
And she ate her weight in rice and beans and guac.

Rozzie on the move!  Rozzie is now 10 months (almost 11 months) old.  She's crawling and attempting to fling herself off of furniture and puling up to her knees and nearly standing.  She continues to be a very sweet and happy baby.  She eats everything, loves playing with her sister's toys, and is generally on the move!
