June 2015

It's summer!  We're off to a great start, lots of pool days and a really lovely trip to California.  Here's a round up from last month.

Rozzie napping at Mohican.  Plus my freakishly long looking arm.
 Celebrating Nana's birthday.
Our California trip!  We headed out to California for Margie and Andrew's wedding "shower and shave."  It was such a wonderful trip.  We all stayed at Liz and David's so Dee and Kassie were sleeping sleep over style in the living room.  The three girls' favorite game was "jump jump jump and fall down on the mattress."
We had a nice little bachelorette party for Margie - yoga with Devorah and then lunch with Mollie, Kassie, and Liz.  I didn't get many pictures, but here are the little girls decked out in their celebratory flowers for the bachelorette.

The beautiful bride-to-be.

My niece, Kassie.  Isn't she a beauty!  Looks just like her mama.

The next day was the main event - the shower.  I made these little favors copied from something I saw on pinterest.

Margie and Betsy, our hostess, with Mr. Waffles - Traveling Joe, who has a waffle cart and makes coffee drinks. He was a great addition to the party.
Aunt Stephanie's famous bridal shower centerpiece!
 Cousin playtime
Toasting the bride and groom - I was really far away trying to prevent Rosalyn from diving in the pool head first, but you get the idea.
 Everybody in the pool!
 Girl talk, poolside
 Mollie getting in the mix
 Sister time

Uncle Sam took many wonderful photos at the party.  Here's a preview shot.  Can't wait to see the rest!

Post pool cupcakes!

And naps.

After the party, we had an amazing visit in San Francsico.  My mother in law added a sun room to her house.  This is the amazing and inspiring flooring that she did herself.  Isn't it incredible?

 Cousin time!
Me and my niece, Kassie, working on our selfies.
Rozzie wanted in on the action

 Making tornadoes at the exploratorium
We spent a night at the Mark Hopkins hotel in the city. It was awesome.  Doesn't Mollie kind of look like a teenager??
Our sea lion friend. He loved being hosed off by the boat parked at the dock.
Visiting the submarines that Rosie built
 Best stop of the trip.

 Aquarium at Golden Gate park

 More cousin time.

United had these therapy dogs at SFO when we left.  The girls were really into it.

The flight home.  Rozzie slept for most of it thankfully.  The rest of the time, she wanted to sit like this - basically behind mollie, pushing her to the floor.  Needless to say, Mollie didn't really enjoy that idea.
When we got back to DC, we went to the Giants/Nationals game.  The girls at the entrance to the park, goofing around.
At the game.  I think Rozzie is a Nats fan.

After the game we went to water play at Yards' Park.  It was really fun.

A couple last shots of Roz - when we left, sweet little Raspberry.

Now we're back - pre-terrible twos.

Hot Chocolate and Marshmallow Tea Party

While Louie and I were at dinner celebrating my birthday, the little girls, Gramma Liz and Aunties Margie and Mimi had a hot chocolate tea party.  I wasn't there but I think the pics pretty much speak for themselves.  Looks really fun!

Family resemblance, much?  I think YES!

A Very Margie Weekend

This weekend we went to NY for Margie's bridal shower.  First stop, ice cream in Brooklyn.

We went out for sushi in NY to celebrate my birthday.  The girls stayed back to have a tea party with their aunties and Gramma Liz.  It sounded like it was a ton of fun, here they are sleeping it off.
Smorgasburg in Brooklyn.
Rozzie loved the horses in Central Park
Margie's NY shower!

The ferry to DUMBO/Brooklyn Bridge Park

Sprayground running.
Picnicking and pickle eating.

May 2015

Lots of catching up to do!  Mollie and Roz playing a game with magnets and throwing.

Uncle Andrew sent these sweet Frozen headphones.  He's so thoughtful, she loves them!
 Matching sunhats at Costco
Mollie trying on my old competitive leotard.  OK, it's a little big, but let's keep in mind I wore this in high school and I feel like it's not THAT big on her.  She found some of my old trophies and medals at Nana and Pop-pops and took them for a test drive.
Great Grand Poppy went on a spring break trip to Key West which meant we got to see him on his way through town.  We had a nice visit and he had an amazing spring break.

 Night out with Yaya
Mollie and Rozzie were invited to be flower girls in Auntie Danielle's wedding.  Here's the super cute card Danielle sent.
 And our answer...Yes, of course!
 Hair cut

 Spinning
Rozzie is driving the train Mollie made out of benches and a tupperware full of markers
Louie and I went out for a night on the town and Mollie wanted to make sure she was also fancy for her night in with Nana.

 Mother's day brunch!

 New jammies from Nana.
 "Let me outta here!"
