Some random pics

"I see you!"
I don't have anything to say about this picture, except - look at that little face! How can you not love it? I know, I'm a little biased, but seriously!

Modeling her diaper hat. She was a really good sport with my dress up game, she was even dancing with this on her head, but I wasn't fast enough to take a picture of it.
Last weekend we had brunch with Mollie's boyfriend, Quinn. They were very good - sharing their snacks and their toys and books. And there was really only one snatching incident, that was resolved pretty quickly :)
Could not get them both to look at the camera at the same time - this is the best one I was able to get. But they are still pretty adorable!

Week 50 - Laughing it up with Dadada

We had a bit of a tough week, with Louie getting back from California late Monday night and Mollie having a stomach bug the whole first half of the week. We alternated staying home with her - she was pretty miserable. But, by Thursday she was feeling much better. This weekend we got some much needed R&R. I have some additional photos, but for now, here's a video of her chatting Louie up via Iphone.

Week 49 - Flying solo

Louie headed to California this week to celebrate Naomi and Bob's 60th wedding anniversary! Mollie and I hung back and had a weekend full of playdates and parties. Unfortunately, I did not get a lot of photos, since I had my hands full, so you'll just have to take my word for it.

On Saturday, we had a playdate with Silas and our friends' twin daughters who are just two weeks older than Mollie. We had a great time eating brunch and checking out the twins' toys and play room.

Sunday, we had a brunch date with Uncle Sam at Marvin. Marvin has a new brunch menu, so if you're in the DC area go check it out. I highly recommend it!

Then, Sunday afternoon we went to Daniel and Emma's house for their mom's surprise birthday party. Everyone was there with their party hats on.
Surprise!
Mollie has a serious crush on Yael. That, or she thinks Yael is her baby doll meant for grabbing and smooshing. At any rate, Yael has been a good sport about all this interference with her personal space.
Daniel made a delicious cake for the birthday party. Liam wanted to be in charge of cutting it....with his axe.
Yep - that's a georgetown cupcake box in the background. I know that's what everyone is really looking at here.
Auntie Margaret with Emma - and Sanam's purple fingers! She dyed them so they would match Emma's outfit :)
Snuggle time!

Week 48 - The Guaca-Mollie Dance

Mollie has had a bit of a rough week with two new top teeth coming down. But, by Friday night, she was feeling much better. We went to Cactus Cantina for dinner - turns out that it is Mollie's favorite restaurant. Or maybe, she just loves avocados this much? Either way - it's pretty cute. Turn on your sound for the full effect.

Dear Pedialyte, your freezer pops taste so bad, it's funny

Mollie has some more top teeth coming in and I foolishly thought these Pedialyte freezer pops would make her feel better. Turns out they taste like disgusting nastiness. But at least she has a sense of humor about it.

Week 47 - First Rock Concert

Mollie's been continuing to walk all around. We can't believe she's about to be 11 months old! Over the three-day weekend we had a lot of visits with friends. We were all amazed at how our Saturday nights have changed - I think everyone was out the door by 8pm :) Below, from left to right Daniel, Abby Cadabby, Yael, Emma and Mollie.
Sunday morning we took Mollie to her first concert - Rocknocerous. It was awesome. The songs are clever and cute, and the crowd was a good size. Most of the kids were just running and jumping, a few were actually paying attention to the music. We had a great time. The concert also just happened to be at the synagogue where we got married.
Here's Mollie rocking out to her favorite song "Pink."
