While we're waiting to accumulate some more photos from the wedding, here are our pics from our quickie trip to Monterey. After the wedding we drove down to Monterey for 2 nights to take Mollie to the aquarium. We stayed at the Portola hotel which I would highly recommend. We went for a walk along Fisherman's Wharf when we got in. Mollie's been taking every opportunity to do two things lately: sing "row row row your boat" and say "cheese" to the camera.
There was a little kid boat, which was perfect given her recent affinity for boats.
We took her down on the sea lion viewing deck the next morning. For $2.00 per person you too can smell like dead fish for a whole day and stand on a ledge looking at this raft of sea lions. Seriously smelled like death, but she loved it. Mollie's other new saying is "bye bye babies" so here she is saying bye bye to her sea lion babies.
That afternoon, Mollie's god mother, Megan, met up with us and we went to the aquarium. It was awesome. In addition to seeing fish, turtles, sea otters, and tons of other delightful critters, there's a great kids' play area complete with a touching zone and a play place. Here's Mollie on the half shell in the kids' zone.

The next morning we went to this Dennis the Menace Playground that was really fun!
